My Story
Strength did not arrive all at once.
A memoir about cancer, family and the ordinary days that carried me through.
My diagnosis brought fear, uncertainty and moments when simply moving forward felt like courage. But alongside the fear came people who stayed, food made with love, family hands, nurses, neighbours, humour, travel, nature and small moments that kept bringing me back to myself.
I wrote this memoir because personal experience can offer something a medical leaflet cannot: the feeling that someone else has been there too.
